LG is reportedly launching a 64GB Nexus 5 in the near future

41 sec read

There has been quite a number of speculation going around that Google could actually introduce a 5.9” Nexus X, simply for the fact that the company intend to have various options at various sizes . There is some common sense behind this idea, as when the next generation Nexus goes on sale, it would be available at 5”, 6”, 7”, 8.9” and 10”. Does this mean that there will still be a Nexus 5 model in due time?’

The LG-made Nexus 5 might soon get a version with 64GB of built-in memory. The new version of the smartphone will reportedly debut alongside the previously leaked, Nexus X by Motorola. Allegedly, even with 64GB of memory on board, the Nexus 5 will sit at a lower price point than the upcoming Nexus X. Considering the typical $350-400 price point of the flagship smartphones by Google, a cheaper Nexus 5 is bound to spell trouble for just about every mid-range handset out there. Longer shelf life for Nexus 5 shouldn’t catch anyone by surprise – Google still has the Nexus 10 by Samsung listed in the Play Store, despite its quickly approaching second birthday. Besides, the device is well equipped even by today’s standards.
