If you’ve got any spare change left after the long Easter iPad launch weekend, Apple has another surprise on the way – new model MacBooks are on the way.
All Apple’s mobile Macs are expected to see an upgrade, including the MacBook, MacBook Air and MacBook Pro. Expect much better battery life, up to 640GB drives, and new (and faster) Intel processors.
Apple-watchers have been anticipating new model laptops since last month. Reports claimed Intel had problems supplying its new Core i7 and Core i5 processors in quantity, but these constraints are now resolved, so new models Macs are finally on the way.
(Some may speculate Apple wanted to focus consumer attentions on its latest mobile product, iPad, before introducing new Macs).
Note: Apple’s MacBook Pro and MacBook Air models were last upgraded in June 2009, while the MacBook last saw an upgrade in October ‘09. Dust off the credit cards.
