MW3 might have the bulk of the attention, but Assassin’s Creed 4 is heating up

Assassins Creed 3

Last week saw one of the biggest buzz buildups surround a game in history as Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 launched today. While debates, reviews, and pwning videos flood the internet this week surrounding the first-person shooter, another game is getting ready to launch next week. Fittingly, the buzz is building from the shadows for Assassin’s Creed Revelations.

They wouldn’t have it any other way.

The third game in the series to feature Ezio (and 4th overall) will outsell the previous 2 easily and is already a contender for Game of the Year even before it’s out. The following may not be as large as that of Call of Duty or even the Battlefield series which released number 3 last month, but the passion amongst the fans is as strong as any. Here’s a trailer for the game that touches on some of the backstory surrounding the mysterious Ezio Auditore da Firenze as he follows in the footsteps of his mentor, Altaïr.

  1. Umm… While it’s the third title following Ezio, it’s still the fourth installment of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, not the third.

  2. Technically Brotherhood and Revelations are successors to AC2 (AC2.1, AC2.2…) and AC3 will be announced in the coming months (fingers crossed!)

  3. Your URL and your title are both different 🙂
