Robots could account for half of Japan’s workforce by 2035

Japan’s population is expected to start shrinking at an alarming rate in the years to come, and the country has already started running into issues with employment. Basically, more people are leaving the workforce than are joining it, a lot more, and that’s starting to cause some serious problems. Being Japan, however, the country has decided to start turning to robots to fill the positions that it can’t fill with human workers, and a new study from the Nomura Research Institute claims that close to half of all jobs in Japan will be done by robots in the next 20 years.
