Tizen, Tizen, Tizen! Samsung wants to make sure this year is jam packed with devices running it own homegrown operating system. From smartphones and tablets, to smart watches and other wearables, to smart televisions, to smart cars, to even cameras apparently. A Tizen-powered Samsung NX500 mirrorless camera has popped up for pre-order in the United States.
It’s only been a couple of days since we leaked information about the upcoming Tizen-powered NX500 and NX3300 mirrorless cameras, which got listed by a Europe-based re-seller. It turns out another re-seller, this time based in the US, has listed one of the cameras, the NX500. We don’t particularly know why re-sellers aren’t keen on waiting for a proper announcement before listing the device for pre-sale, but these listings sure do give a peek about the devices themselves. In today’s case, the NX500 (16-50mm lens version thereof) was found to be listed at the B & H website for US$799, whereas the leak from two days back had a mention of a starting price of US$865 (€749) in Europe.
