Samsung’s much-anticipated Galaxy A7 has bee spotted at the FCC

Samsung has been trying to give its devices more of a “premium” feel with the launch of its Galaxy A series, although so far the only two Galaxy A devices that have been released so far have midrange specs. That could soon change, however, because SamMobile points out that the high-end Galaxy A7 has just passed through the Federal Communications Commission for approval, which means that Samsung will likely unveil the device in the near future.

While Samsung already announced the Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5 (with the latter – pictured on the left – being available to buy in China), there’s still no official word on the Galaxy A7, which is expected to be the third handset in the company’s brand new Galaxy A series. Even so, we know for certain that the A7 exists, as its model number (SM-A700) is featured on Samsung’s official website. What’s more, the A7 recently visited the FCC – which might mean that an announcement is around the corner. The FCC confirms that the SM-A700 features NFC and LTE, while also revealing its height (150 mm) and width (75 mm). These dimensions support the idea that the new smartphone sports a 5.2-inch display – as previously rumored.
