Apple corrects website to not claim their maps are the most powerful
You have to give Apple credit. They know they launched a dud and they’re willing to admit it. Mostly.
In a letter to their customers, Apple CEO Tim Cook encouraged iOS6 users to download apps to use instead of Apple’s version. Now, they’ve taken it a step further by reducing their claims that they placed on the website . Instead of saying it’s the “most beautiful, powerful mapping service ever”, they are now saying that it is “in a beautiful vector-based interface that scales and zooms with ease.”
It may not be accurate or understandable, but it’s definitely beautiful.
