No one’s quite sure when YouTube decided to add this easter egg, but it doesn’t work with the oldschool player, so it must have been no earlier than April. Hit up YouTube, and pause any video you like. You can also pause one you don’t like, I guess. Just find a video and pause it. Paused? Great. Now press the up and left arrow keys simultaneously.
Assuming you don’t have the dexterity of a sea cucumber, you should be playing a YouTubian recreation of the classic arcade game Snake. If you’ve ever owned a Nokia cell phone, you already know what Snake is, but if you haven’t, I’ll break it down so you don’t suck: Snake is played by guiding your bunch of dots snake into the little blinky pellets randomly scattered around the playing field. Touch anything, and you die. Simple, right?
As if YouTube wasn’t already the procrastinator’s bane. Now, truly, no one will ever get anything done, ever. Remember how Google Pac-Man impacted the economy, if only for a day? This’ll be that. Forever.
