Home buying has been on the decline since the housing bubble burst, but things are finally on the upswing. Experts agree that the housing marking is clawing its way steadily out of a hole, and the experts at Shea Homes have compiled a list of the fifteen best places to buy your next home. These places were picked not only because of their reasonable median home prices, but also because of the amenities available to the surrounding communities.
If you’re considering buying a home, also consider relocating to one of these communities. Places like Dayton, Ohio and Rochester, New York have median home prices in the low $100ks while still boasting excellent quality of life and amenities.
Places like Baltimore and Chicago have higher median home prices, both weighing in at over $200k. But this is still reasonable for most families, and jobs in these areas are likely to have higher pay as well. They also offer great amenities. Chicago has Navy Pier and the Museum of Science and Industry. Baltimore has a fabulous Inner Harbor as well as the USS Constellation.
