Two of the leading companies that have the best chances in the long-term regarding artificial intelligence are Amazon and Meta Platforms. The difference between these businesses is that they do not only manage to become leaders in AI innovation, but also apply AI as the base of successful, varied operations.

The rise of Amazon is inseparably connected to its use of AI throughout the different dimensions of its company. The cloud department, Amazon Web Services, manifests evident advantages of the increased interest in AI-powered solutions.

AWS is now a source of profit, growing faster than the rest of the Amazon business. Amazon has been able to advance the efficiency of its warehouses, customer experience and expand its competitive advantage due to its investment in generative AI and automation. More moves towards the healthcare industry confirm that Amazon is keen on developing new revenue streams, is adaptable and driven by the future.

Using AI, Meta Platforms is optimizing its core business (advertising), and making users more active. Ads in Facebook and Instagram have become more attractive to advertisers, thanks to AI-powered algorithms among other things. They also keep subscribers busy. Meta has produced effective AI tools such as content recommendation, ad targeting and even devices such as smart glasses.

The network effect of the staggering 3 billion (and counting) daily users the company currently enjoys becomes a powerful one, enabling Meta to strike new horizons like business messaging or even the metaverse. This shows that it is prepared to remain innovative but still preserve some of the key strengths of its business.

The two companies have good ecosystems and dedicated user support. It is not a collection of different AI projects that only occur within these organizations, but that have a network of AI initiatives at every tier within the firm, generating the capacity to deliver superior performance, and efficiency. Over the long-term, those interested in being exposed to AI, without necessarily trying to make a bet on the future with individual-product startups, will have many beneficiaries in these giants, as they are the leaders of the next wave of technology.
