There has been a ton of talk about the cloud, lately. Some think it’s the future, the place where everything will eventually reside online. Google is making computers that will be completely cloud-based. All of the data will eventually be out there, somewhere.
That’s the premise for business as well, as our friends at FormStack relate to us in this infographic. “Instead of applications and data stored on a single computer terminal or network, cloud-based services (“cloud applications”) are accessible on the Internet in the same manner as online banking and shopping, email, and social networking sites.”
