LG pokes fun at Samsung for not releasing the Galaxy Note 5 in Europe

Many people were disappointed when Samsung announced that the Galaxy Note 5 wouldn’t be launching in Europe, but rather than being forced to purchase the Galaxy S6 Edge Plus, LG is suggesting that Europeans looking for a new high-end Android smartphone with a big screen just buy the LG G4. In an amusing promotional tweet that poked fun at Samsung, LG said: “To everyone that marked a Note on their calendar. Sorry. We’d never do that to you. #G4TheWorld.”

The newly launched Samsung Galaxy Note 5 phablet will not hit the store shelves in Europe. Instead, Samsung will apparently be selling the double-edge-display clad Galaxy S6 Edge+ in the region. LG has found an opportunity here to promote the 2015 flagship G4 by taking a potshot at the South Korean technology giant. Samsung has reportedly decided to concentrate on the countries where the Note series of handsets have been well-received in the past. Hence, the Galaxy Note 5 is not expected to be sold in many regions, including Europe. Many Samsung fans have been outraged by the sudden turn of events, and the wrath can be felt across the social media sites. LG Jordan, on the other hand, utilized this occasion to promote the LG G4 via its Twitter account by saying: “To everyone that marked a Note on their calendar. Sorry. We’d never do that to you. #G4TheWorld.” The promo has the LG G4 alongside a calendar, where the placeholder pertaining to the date Aug. 21 has been marked as “No Notes!”
