TikTok has launched an exciting new feature in-app guided meditation designed to help you relax, sleep better and stop endless scrolling at night. After testing it with selected teens earlier this year, TikTok is now rolling it out for all users.

Why TikTok Is Adding Meditation Tools

The goal of this feature is simple: to improve your sleep quality and encourage you to take a break from the app, especially during late-night hours.

Auto Meditation for Teens After 10 PM

For users under 18, the meditation feature will be automatically turned on.
If a teen is using the app after 10 p.m., TikTok will pause their For You feed and show a relaxing guided meditation screen.

This screen includes:

  • Calming visuals
  • Soft music
  • Breathing exercises

If the teen ignores it and keeps using the app, a second full-screen message will appear, gently reminding them to go to sleep.

How Adults Can Try It Too

Adults can also enjoy this feature. Just follow these steps:

  1. Go to TikTok’s Screen Time settings.
  2. Turn on the “sleep hours” feature.
  3. Choose what time you want to receive the meditation exercise each night.

TikTok’s $2.3 Million Push for Mental Health

TikTok also announced a major donation of $2.3 million in ad credits to support 31 mental health organizations across 19 countries as part of its Mental Health Education Fund.

A Step Toward Safer, Healthier Screen Time

This feature is part of TikTok’s effort to make the app safer, especially for young users. It also shows that TikTok is taking mental health seriously and responding to concerns from lawmakers. With guided meditation, TikTok encourages healthier habits giving you a gentle push to relax, sleep and take care of yourself.
