Has Western culture grown too attached to their social networks? It’s possible, according to a recent study led by Wilhelm Hofmann at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
While the nuts and bolts of the study were far from a compelling, comprehensive bit of scientific research (205 adults were put into a heavily-weighted situation and were told to describe their “conflicts” via text) it is apparent just looking at how we go about our lives on a daily basis that many of us are indeed addicted.
This video by SourceFed gives us the details of the study.
On the bright side, Facebook is not that addictive in my opinion. On the bad side, I have decided to keep smoking instead of checking my ‘Wall’.
On second thought, I quit smoking too.
That is a good choice, anyway, You can still keep your facebook, just don’t spend too much time.
True that, my girlfriend is also lately very reluctant on this matter 🙂
yes, I agree
Twitter and Facebook make my daugter forget to eat.
