Web designers vs web developers

The battle between web designers and web developers has been going on since the establishment of web designers and web developers. It’s like salespeople versus production people. Apple vs Mac. Coke vs Pepsi. They will always be at at each others’ throats.

Today, we look at the lighter side of the debate from Wix. It may be comical and somewhat insulting to both (no, most web designers or developers that I know are not afraid of women) but it does bring up an easier-to-understand roundup of perceptions and the differences between each job.

Both are crucial to the success of a website. Which is more important? That depends entirely on who you ask.

  1. So funny. But i think both Web designer & Web developer play an equal role in a web project.
Like body needs bond systems (develope) to carry body’s weight, needs skin (design) for well-looking appearances.

  2. The developer is on the way of the horse and Cardigan. Useful, but soon we will not need for developers of small things, they will be automated, such as spell checker and the only thing left is the client saying .. “Make it look pretty.” The problem is really built by the developer, are making the software easier to use by the designer.

  3. I think the web designers and web developers should work together, inspite of fighting back to each other, without anyone of them your work is incomplete.
