Rdio is bringing its streaming music service to two dozen more countries

Rdio is to Spotify what Hulu is to Netflix. While it’s an excellent service with plenty of offerings, it’s still infinitely smaller than its biggest competitor, but that gap may be closing. The company announced today that its streaming music service is coming to two dozen new markets, bringing the total to 85 countries across the globe.

Rdio has announced today that they’ve expanded their streaming music service to 24 new international markets, including areas in Central America, the Caribbean and Asia Pacific. This means that Rdio is now available in 85 total countries and territories across the world. Rdio has teamed up exclusively with Digicel in the 24 new markets, “to create a unique offering designed to customize the streaming experience for Digicel customers in each country and territory.” In addition, Digicel will offer all prepaid customers 30 minutes of free Rdio streaming per day without incurring data charges.
