‘Baby Cot Pod’: The Crib of the Future

The Baby Cot Pod

If you have a strange desire to have a kid after seeing the “Baby Cot Pod,” we wouldn’t blame you. The designer of this crib obviously has a taste for great design — similar to some other famous company we all know and love — and we can’t help but think that even Steve Jobs would appreciate this thing.

Designed by Shaun Milburn, this crib, called the Cascara, features an amazingly modern and Apple-like design that is immediately recognizable — and, well, it just looks freaking awesome!

Apart from its futuristic style, the crib offers various subtle yet well-integrated features: a fully-retractable carry handle, two grab-handles that blend well into the design, and an optional hood.

It is all held up with a collapsable trestle frame composed of wooden or plastic elements. It is also touted as being a “safe and secure sleeping environment for their newborn child.”

The designer himself asks: “How will your baby sleep tonight?” If that baby has the opportunity to crash in one of these cribs, it will be sleeping pretty darn good in our opinion.
