Google Minus 1

Google Minus 1

Those of us who use Google products such as Gmail, Google Docs, and (of course) search may not be aware of how much it has become embedded in our business and personal lives. It’s like the Sun – always there but often taken for granted.

Can you imagine a world without Google? Most would say yes, but if you really think about, it may be hard to imagine. Something or someone else would have to take the places of the various products with the gaping holes left in its absence.

This graphic by our friends at SingleGrain Internet Marketing Blog takes the “what if” and visualizes it for us. A Googless world – yes, it’s difficult for us to imagine.

  1. Whilst google have made popular some of these services they would still be here without google, analytics – they bought urchin so that would still be there, mapping was being done by microsoft and sites like multimap.
I think most of these things would still be around just maybe not under the same company umbrella.
