The history of social media

Do you remember having to pick up a phone book? When was the last time you licked a stamp? Did you ever look at your phone bill and make a note to watch those long-distant calls to aunt Sally?

Those days are behind us. We’re out of the dark ages and we’ve advanced to where a good chunk of our communication happens online and in particular through social media. Here’s a quick look at that history from the early days when CompuServe was a neat little secret kept by the original nerds of the early days of computers all the way into today where there are more mobile subscriptions than there people on the planet a decade ago.
