The OnePlus 2 may come with an all-metal frame

The OnePlus One wasn’t made of plastic, but it wasn’t metal either. While that was a nice middle ground for the device, OnePlus CEO Liu Zuohu teased earlier this week that the smartphone’s successor will have a full-metal build. Pair that with the fact that it’s also coming with a Snapdragon 810 and the OnePlus is shaping up to be a seriously premium device.

OnePlus is leaving no stone unturned to create hype about its upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 2. OnePlus CEO Liu Zuohu (aka Pete Lau) on Wednesday on Weibo teased the OnePlus 2 smartphone to his followers and asked, “How to define “full metal”?” (Google Translate) While the Weibo post doesn’t directly indicate that it is related to the OnePlus One successor, considering that Lau has been teasing the OnePlus 2 lately via his Weibo posts, it is not unreasonable to assume he was referring to the handset. The Chinese handset manufacturer in recent weeks has been dropping hints about its next flagship in bits and until now the company has confirmed that the OnePlus 2 will feature Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 v2.1 SoC, USB Type-C port, and recently the company revealed that the handset will sport a fingerprint sensor. The firm in its last post claimed that the OnePlus 2’s fingerprint sensor was faster than Apple’s iPhone Touch ID sensor.
