Huawei promotes its upcoming smartwatch in two new videos

Huawei has released two new promotional videos on its official YouTube channel for its upcoming Android Wear-powered smartwatch. Known as the Huawei Watch, the first video is a showy clip of a man travelling through a snowy landscape while the second video is more serious and official, with the company’s representatives discussion the design of the smartwatch and some of its features.

Huawei has already revealed plans to launch their Android Wear-based Huawei Watch at MWC 2015, thanks to some airport banner ads in Barcelona, Spain. Now the company has made two videos promoting the device live on their YouTube channel. The first video is a very slick-looking clip showing a man using the Huawei Watch to navigate his way through a snow-filled landscape. The other clip is more business-like, with Huawei reps stating their decisions behind the design of the smartwatch as well as going over some of its features. As with the airport banner ads, it’s odd that Huawei would make these videos live before their media event on Sunday, March 1. Huawei’s press conference will be held at 1:30 p.m. CET (that’s 7:30 a.m. ET) and we will be liveblogging it and learning a lot more about the Huawei Watch at that time.
