Azuqua raises $5 million to expands its cloud connectivity platform

With cloud services proliferating, Seattle startup Azuqua has raised $5 million from Ignition Partners to help businesses create processes that integrate multiple software-as-a-service applications. The company says its Web-based software allows integration among more than 40 cloud services, helping business users do things like track negative comments on Twitter and automatically send an alert to Salesforce customer databases, allowing a company to provide proactive customer service.

Azuqua, a Seattle-based startup that helps businesses connect external cloud services with each other, today announced a $5 million Series A round led by Ignition Venture Partners. After graduating from Microsoft’s Windows Azure Accelerator in June 2013, Azuqua officially launched this past February. The startup has built a drag-and-drop visual designer that allows companies to automate business processes that use two or more SaaS applications — for example, it can connect HubSpot with Salesforce for lead management, or cloud-based calendars with Asana or Evernote. Azuqua then pumps out information based on those processes that companies can use to gain insights into their business.
