Toshiba’s new SD card can connect to Wi-Fi

Although connectivity is one of the most popular features of today’s gadgets, such as cameras, there are still plenty of them out there that don’t have the built in capability of connecting to the internet. This is something that Toshiba wants to fix with the FlashAir III, a full sized SD memory card that comes with the ability to connect to Wi-Fi.

Most cameras these days come with built-in WiFi. This allows photographers to transfer photos wirelessly from their camera to their phone, tablet, laptop, and control it remotely as well. However there are some cameras out there without built-in WiFi, which means that photographers will need a cable to transfer photos from the camera onto a computer. Well if you’re looking to give your non-WiFi camera some wireless connectivity, you might be interested to learn that Toshiba has recently announced the FlashAir III. This is a full sized SD memory card that comes with wireless connectivity built into the card itself. What this means is that users will be able to transfer photos and videos taken by the camera onto their mobile devices wirelessly, even if their camera lacks that particular feature.
