Sochi Olympic torch lighter walks in space with Russians

Flames don’t burn in space. The vacuum makes it hard. That didn’t stop the Russians from making a symbolic gesture by taking it up into space and having it passed between astronauts.

The symbolic torch that will be used to light the flame at the winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia, just completed a two-hour spacewalk that was broadcast live online on NASA TV.
