Tim Cook has geared up to take Augmented Reality to its highest level. After giving users the finest iOS, smartwatches, headsets, and MacBook, Apple is set to introduce AR Glasses to the market. Although the product is in the design and testing phase, the CEO is reported to care about nothing else right now.
Augmented Reality
Augmented Reality is the digital content overlaid on the real world. It is done by gadgets, including AR Glasses. AR is partially immersive, blending digital elements with the real world. Meta has already launched its Ray-Ban Smart Glasses, and Snap introduced Spectacles in the market. Currently, Meta is reported to level up its AR technology by launching Orion Glasses.
Apple Vision Pro
Apple has entered into Virtual reality by launching Apple Vision Pro. Apple’s Vision Pro is a mixed reality headset and not a pure AR. Although it offers a mixed reality experience by blending virtual content with a camera-captured representation of the user’s surroundings, it does not give true transparency like AR.
Apple AR Glasses Release Date
The product and design of AR Glasses have not been disclosed by the company, however, Mar Gurmer reported that Apple is working on two models in the domain of AR. It can be predicted that the product will take at least two years to launch.
Apple AR Glasses Features
Since Apple always keeps its technology exclusive from other tech companies, there are high chances that Apple AR Glasses will be an improved version of Meta Ray-Ban. It will have a smaller battery and will give an excellent augmented experience with a lightweight device.
Challenges
Augmented Reality is a developing technology, and no big tech has yet achieved considerable standards like smartphones or computers. Although once the technology is developed at such a level that it could be developed at a cheaper rate, the tech industry will get a boom with this technology.
