How the ballot works

Who can vote on a nominated leader?
Any signed-in TECHi member. Each member gets one vote per candidate and can withdraw it at any time. Votes from accounts that are later removed for abuse are discarded.
Why does a leader need 1,000 member votes?
The AI Power List is meant to reflect who the AI community actually rates, not who lobbied hardest. Editors verify that a nomination is real and well-evidenced before it reaches the ballot; members decide whether it belongs on the list.
What happens after the threshold is reached?
The nomination is marked vetted, the desk writes the full profile — role, track record, companies, sources — and the leader is published to the AI Power List with a link back to this ballot.
Can I nominate myself or a colleague?
Yes, as long as you declare the connection in the form. Undeclared self-nominations or coordinated voting are removed.
