The most anticipated Nintendo Switch 2 for game lovers is to be launched on June 5, costing $450. The company announced that the console will be launched as a single product and as a part of a bundle with Mario Kart World. In 2017, the company launched its first console Switch 1 which was a big hit in the gaming industry with a sale of 150 million units.
Along with hardware refreshers and hit games from franchises like The Legend of Zelda and Super Mario, the company is extending its lifecycle. The new version is launching as an upgraded hardware while retaining the form and function of Switch 1. Nintendo Switch 2 will be available in the market for playing both on the go and at the TV screen.
Design and Features
The Nintendo Switch 2 will be available in matte black with light blue and red accents on each Joy-Con. It is larger in size than the first one and has heftier Joy-Con controllers. The controllers can be attached magnetically to the sides of the screen and function as a computer mouse. Switch 2 has a 1080p LCD screen that can support up to 120fps and HDR. However, the dock will support 4 K. The body will have USB-C charging ports.
The switch’s storage capacity will be 256 GB. It will only support microSD express cards for extra storage. The device will also have a sturdy stand.
