Today marks a historical day for those in the Social Media Industry and for those who use Social Media as the day has come that there are now officially one billion active users on the social networking platform known as Facebook.
This morning on the Facebook blog, Mark Zuckerberg announced that there are over one billion users actively using his well-known site, sharing a quick thank you to its users and looking forward to making Facebook more accommodating and futuristic hopes of uniting the world socially.
This is a great milestone for Facebook and for all of us who come together to share our lives, as the latest video from Facebook shows it as being a platform that unites us much like many other symbols across the world that have become a unified arena for us to display our thoughts, visually and verbally.
