PayPal Adds Bump to Pay to its iPhone App

PayPal has upgraded its iPhone application introducing new features including the capacity to pass money to another simply by bumping smartphones together.

The new feature marshals tech from start-up Bump Technologies. Additional new talents include enabling a user to send a money request to contacts from within the App. Also new is the facility to transfer cash from PayPal into your bank account using the App.

And there’s more: you also get an integrated tip calculator and bill splitter, and reminders to warn you when you need to send or withdraw money. There’s also a child-friendly ‘PayPal for Kids’ area which lets children access a parentally-controlled sub-account.

PayPal offers similar applications for BlackBerry and Android smartphones.
