With the success of Nintendo Wii’s interactive video game system, PlayStation has been developing their own version of a motion controlled video game platform over the past year and is set for a fall 2010 release.

They will introduce the PlayStation Move and hope to emulate the success of the Wii. We can now know what it (kinda) feels like to be Robin Hood and pull arrows from your imaginary leather satchel, and fire them at targets on your television. If you really are adventurous and want the full experience, then I suggest clicking HERE and picking up a nice new pair of these.

How exactly does the PlayStation move work?

“The most immersive gaming experience possible. Using advanced motion sensors and the PlayStation®Eye Camera, your every movement is mimicked on-screen in breathtaking Blu-ray powered HD. Take core gaming to a new level or bring your whole family in on the adventure with a title line up that will excite every gamer.”

The motion controllers seem a little weird looking. It looks like a Wii controller, spray painted black, and its blowing a bubble. The next step in this genre of video game systems, is to have an actual lightsaber emit from the controller and finally satisfy all us Star Wars nerds.
