Prioritize your social media in order of importance

Time management… those two words are heard often enough throughout life it is hard to not realize that it embeds itself into every aspect of our lives, even the one we share online. With that said, most of the time, it is easier said than done since life happens and not everything can go entirely as planned.

A strategy is of course is needed when planning to execute your social efforts online which include all areas of social media; from blogs, social networks, social bookmarking to finding shareable content and my friends, this all takes time.

Knowing which social outlets provide the most interactions is key in knowing where to start in the course of a day, to begin a review of your current strategy and most importantly to know what social platforms need your attention the most so you know which ones need content and interaction over the various other platforms that may still need your presence, just not as much.

This means that you need to prioritize your social media efforts so you do not lose sight of what is most important for your networking or branding, just because life happens and schedules change does not mean that you now can neglect your online communities and expect for them to understand upon your return. They won’t, in fact if you disappear they move on to the next interesting brand or person who is available and engaging.

This is why you need to plan distractions and disruptions that can and will occur in a matter of a day or over time. Your team needs to know plan A and there always needs to be a plan B and possibly C with of course the help of your team or a team of social tools that can be of use to you.

In a mobile world, our attention spans may have shortened but our expectations of attention spent on us have increased and in order for your brand or profiles to remain amongst the eyes of those who you need to be communicating with to remain relevant you need to prioritize and plan to make your connections sturdy, steady and ready for anything.
