EA has revealed the title and creator of their upcoming Star Wars game, following a minor leak last week. Star Wars Zero Company is being created through Bit Reactor with assistance from Respawn and Lucasfilm Games.
According to reports, Star Wars Zero Company was privately referred to as “Project Bruno” when it was shown in leaked photographs before this month. However, since the photos were older than a year, it’s plausible that they were from an earlier build.
In addition to EA’s Respawn Entertainment and Disney’s Lucasfilm Games, Bit Reactor, a studio whose members contributed to the creation of major competitive strategy titles like XCOM and Civilization, is in charge of development. The exact launch date of Zero Company is yet unknown, but ideally, these details will be revealed during Star Wars Celebration’s first look.
In January 2022, Respawn announced that it was developing three Star Wars games, including Zero Company. Among these was the 2023 release of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, the follow-up to Jedi: Fallen Order. The third is an FPS that is “all-new”.
There are more Star Wars projects underway than Star Wars Zero Company. Eclipse is being developed by Quantic Dream, and a Knights of the Old Republic remake is being worked on by Saber Entertainment. Director Amy Hennig is now collaborating with Skydance New Media on an unnamed Star Wars game.
