The Evolution of the Batmobile

The Evolution of the Batmobile

Few vehicles, real or fictional, have had as much of an effect on pop culture and geek dreams as the Batmobile. It represents the gadgetized car that every geek had envisioned at one point or another. It stands for the innovations of mankind in ways that allow good to triumph over evil. It’s secretive, unique, and puts instant power into the hands of the person wielding it.

In short, it’s pretty darn cool.

This infographic referred to us by our friends at Troy Motor Mall gives an exhausting breakdown of the car and its many variations over the decades. Click to enlarge.

Good eyes, Blastedarcherboy. Anyway, the updates were up until the last car of 2010. It would be awesome if someone edits this and adds the new 2011 stuff in, including that version from Batman Beyond.

I kept that car for over 20 years, then it faded away. I do not know what happened to it. The picture brings back fond memories.
