HTC is finally profitable again and it’s determined to remain that way

Now that HTC is back in the realm of profitability, the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer wants to not only remain profitable, but grow its profits far more than it already has. One of the ways the company is going to do this is with its flagship smartphone than many expect to launch sometime next month.

HTC announced consolidated financial results for Q4 2014, with the manufacturer able to post a profit for the first time in three years. As previously stated, HTC managed a net profit of NT$0.5 billion ($15.89 million) during the quarter. Year-on-year revenue for Q4 2014 increased by 12 percent to NT$47.9 billion ($1.5 billion), which was 14 percent better than what HTC managed in Q3 2014. The Taiwanese manufacturer said that the increase in revenue was largely due to its ability to “offer tailored product mixes at suitable price points” and addressing the needs of specific markets.
