The run-rate of revenue of Anthropic in India has doubled in the last four months, which has in turn propelled the global strategic plans of the business as more and more developers embrace its Claude code platform.

Rapid Growth Surge

India has become the second biggest market of Claude AI following the United State of America due to the high rates of technical intensity among its users.

Anthropic's revenue run-rate in India has doubled in four months, chief executive officer Dario Amodei said on Monday, underscoring the rapid adoption of the AI startup's Claude coding product in the country.

Enterprise Partnerships and Push

Last week, an AI startup backed by Amazon (AMZN.O) and Alphabet (GOOGL.O) raised $30 billion in a funding round, valuing the company at $380 billion.

Well-known cooperation between Claude Code include Air India, subscribing to the solution to speed up the creation of tailor-made software and agentic AI apps, and Cognizant, which is using the solution to modernize old infrastructure.

The other partnerships go all the way to Indian startups in the fields of law, education, health, and agriculture, therefore, using the vast size of the country to achieve the swiftest experiments.

Market Ripples

The observed acceleration exerts an increased pressure on the Indian information technology services industry that is about $283 billion in terms of market value.

During February alone, the stock in exporters of software was affected in a way such that market capitalization went down to over $47 billion in effect following a January release by ClaudeCowork that led to an all global sell off.

The productivity workload orientation of the product has increased the concerns of the possible disruptions artificial intelligence brings about.

Future Outlook

The rapid utilization of Claude in India can be taken as a pointer to the fact that India will remain as one of the key drivers of growth in Anthropic, as businesses move to hasten the implementation of AI in various industries.

Considering the strong adoption by the developers, the growth of the enterprise relationships, and the growing experimentation efforts in the industries, India is estimated to take the core position in shaping the evolution of the product and the overall global strategy of the company.
