Since the news of Nintendo Switch 2’s launch broke in the gaming world, Nintendo fans are searching for the specifications, features, price, and launch date of the console. On 24 April, as the most awaited hybrid console touched the market, the stocks evaporated like an iceflake under the scorching sun. Although it is not a surprise that the stocks of preordered units sold out in minutes, Nintendo fans can still buy them from the following stores

  • Walmart: Online queue in place after midnight
  • Best Buy: 30 mins later, online queues are live
  • Target: Stock has been spotted after midnight
  • Nintendo: Limited supply with restrictions
  • GameStop: Stock live at 11 a.m. ET on Thursday

Walmart and Best Buy

These two places are the best ones to buy the Nintendo Switch 2 during a pandemic-like situation, as they have the fastest restocking capacity. Moreover, Walmart is offering free delivery on launch day, so Nintendo Switch 2 is just an ‘add to cart’ away. Best Buy is also offering a delivery, but it also requires other games in the bundle without a discount.

Target

Target is also offering the Nintendo Switch 2; however, complaints have been received that there were technical glitches while ordering.

Nintendo Online Store

Nintendo’s online store is a go place for those who are Switch Online members. Nintendo is implementing a selective application process. To qualify, users must have been Switch Online members for at least 12 months and logged a minimum of 50 gameplay hours on the original Switch. Those who meet the criteria might receive an invitation to preorder on May 8.

GameStop

GameStop is the best place for those who could not buy the console at the midnight launch, as the online store decided not to go live at the time of launch. However, currently the store has a SKU for the base console and not the Mario Kart World bundle.
