With the first Battle Royale Season with a solely Star Wars theme and the in-game launch of Star Wars: Tales of the Underworld just days before its May 4 release on Disney+, Epic and Disney are starting their most extensive Star Wars partnership in Fortnite to date. This is the first time a Disney+ series has appeared in a video game.
As revealed at the Star Wars Celebration, Fortnite: GALACTIC BATTLE will launch on May 2 and bring weekly new Star Wars gameplay and content to Battle Royale. Fans may control ships like X-wings and TIE Fighters while playing as Emperor Palpatine or Darth Jar Jar. Death Star Sabotage, a spectacular in-game live event, will mark the end of the season.
This is a component of Fortnite and Star Wars’ broader partnership. Every week, new Star Wars content will be added to the game for use in Battle Royale. As Emperor Palpatine, players will be able to fly X-wings and engage in combat. There will be a playable edition of Jar Jar Binks with a darker side.
The most popular space wizards have made previous appearances in Fortnite. At one point, the game incorporated the iconic lightsaber as a weapon and made Luke, Han, and Leia playable characters.
