Amid the redesign rumor of iOS 19 and iPhone’s 20th anniversary coming in 2027, the company is expected to make dramatic changes in the iPhone 20. Reported by Apple insider, Bloomberg is claiming to make a bold new Pro model for its 20th anniversary. It states

“[The] company is preparing a major shake-up for the iPhone’s 20th anniversary, including a foldable version and a bold new Pro model that makes more extensive use of glass.”

Prelude to iPhone X

These new speculations about the design of iPhone-20 are primarily based on the iPhone X launch in 2017, at the tenth anniversary of the product launch. In iPhone X, Apple removed the most remarkable and prominent feature of the home button for an all-glass display. It was also the first iPhone that cost $1000.

At the launch of iPhone X, Tim Cook announced that this new iPhone would set the path of technology for the next decade. As the decade is closing down, it is expected that Apple will redesign its iPhone 20, setting standards for the next decade.

iPhone 17 Launch

iPhone 17 launch set to be released in 2025 is also rumoured to have a major increase in chassis made of glass. There are speculations that Apple is slowly moving toward a new hardware and software design in the next iPhone series. Meanwhile, some analysts are also saying that Apple is planning an all-glass iPhone for the future. The iPhone is expected to make a major launch at Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC). It is also expected that iPhone 17 Pro will be launched in September 2025, not 2027.

IPhone Fold

As different potential designs are surfacing, analyst Jeff Pu opines that an iPhone fold and a folding iPad will be released in 2026. In this line, Apple is also expected to launch a foldable MacBook Pro in 2027.

Though there is no confirmed news from Apple about the design of iOS 19 or iPhone 20, it is expected that WWDC would be a major news source for Apple’s future designs.
