ASUS thinks 4GB of RAM will be the standard for high-end smartphones

Speaking at the launch event for the Zenfone 2 in India earlier this week, ASUS CEO Jerry Shen talked about the future of the mobile industry and what trends we can expect to start seeing later this year. One such trend is 4GB of RAM, which is what the Zenfone 2 has and what Shen believes will become the standard for high-end smartphones in the coming months. He also believes smartphones will continue to get thinner, to the point where manufacturers are going to need to rethink button placements.
