German’s can’t find enough evidence against NSA

By Louie Baur1 min readGoogle News

Countries spy on each other, especially their leaders and military personnel. Angela Merkel, Chancellor of Germany, was allegedly being spied on by the NSA. Her phones were allegedly tapped, causing an international uproar that hurt the relationship between the United States and Germany. Now, it’s being revealed that the investigation did not yield enough evidence for Germany to go after America’s largest spy organization.

Germany has closed its investigation into a report that the US National Security Agency had hacked Chancellor Angela Merkel’s mobile phone, a move that appears to be aimed at ending transatlantic friction that threatened intelligence cooperation between the two countries.
