Verizon rumored to be getting four new Amazon and Samsung tablets

If you were thinking about getting yourself a new tablet from Verizon on contract, you might be interested to learn that according to @evleaks, four new tablets are on their way to Verizon. Technically these tablets aren’t “new” per se, but we guess if you wanted to get a data plan along with the tablets, you could soon be able to do that. The tablets in question includes the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0, Galaxy Tab 4 10.1, the Amazon Kindle Fire HDX 7, and the Kindle Fire HDX 8.9.

According to a new revelation by Evleaks on Twitter, Verizon could soon add four new tablets to its roster. It is said that two of these will belong to Samsung while the other two will come from Amazon. Amazon has sold its tablets exclusively through its retail channels, so it will be very beneficial if their tablets end up on the country’s largest carrier. The leak suggests that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 8.0 and 10.1 and the Kindle Fire HDX 7 and 8.9 will be launched via Big Red. Since this is coming from a pretty legitimate source, we can vouch for its authenticity. Evleaks has refrained from mentioning a specific launch date, but we don’t think it should be far away considering the highly competitive Android tablet segment. All four tablets mentioned here cater to the budget segment, so don’t expect it to go too heavy on your wallets when it inevitably breaks cover.
