WhatsApp iOS Update to Support Multi-Account Switching

WhatsApp released a new update for iOS, according to which users will be able to log in to more than one account simultaneously, without installing a separate app such as WhatsApp Business. However, this is not available for testing, as they claimed that it’s under development.

The multi-account feature has been available on Android since October 2023. This allows you to easily manage the number of accounts with just a single click. Most of us encounter storage issues, especially when using Android, and you have to install multiple softwares for that. In addition, if we install 3 to 4 WhatsApp applications on a mobile device, it can make it feel like it’s flooded with the specific app. So, WhatsApp has got you covered here.

Moreover, with the eSIM technology, users can save up to eight or more SIMs, which makes it difficult to manage eight to nine WhatsApp accounts. eSIM technology is mainly available in the iPhone. So, instead of relying on multiple apps, users can switch in seconds. WhatsApp has targeted a problem strategically, that is a necessity for businesses. Now, people can easily enjoy multiple accounts on the same device and app. However, what we should notice is that whenever we receive a notification on a secondary account, it simply displays the username and account name, not the exact message. So, even if anyone only reacts to a message, it causes curiosity.

When we switch the account, it shows only a reaction, which can be frustrating and to switch a different account, we need to navigate to settings as well. Now with a second app, you can open both WhatsApp accounts in parallel. That way, you can easily switch between them. But all these things are subjective too, depending on user choice. If he/she wants to save storage and limited software, this multi-account feature is preferable. But if they have only two accounts and want to switch accounts every second, then a separate app can make things quite convenient.

WhatsApp has released a new iOS update through the TestFlight beta Program, bringing the version up to 25.19.10.74. What’s new in this update? WhatsApp is working on a feature that allows users to switch between multiple accounts, and it will be available in a future update!
