Skate, Cycle and Ski all at the same time with Chariot Skates.

While searching for the latest and greatest technology and gadgets, I rolled upon this website and was both intrigued and confused.

Introducing Chariot Skates, a innovative idea from inventor Michael Jenkins from Australia. He has turned his idea of meshing skating, skiing and cycling all into one idea.

He has essentially taken two large wheels and attached the skater’s foot below the axle for a more fluid ride.

Although I am extremely interested in testing out these skates, I wonder if I will have the guts to strap them on and head down to the beach and actually use this product in public. It kind of reminds me of Wheelers from the movie Return To Oz.

So you’ve read this blog, watched the video and can’t wait to get your hands on them. Well head over to the Chariot Skates website and send them a message to see if they will ship them to you. At this time they are not sure which areas will be carrying the product as it is still in the beginning production stages. Oh, they will cost you somewhere between $5000 and $10000. Yes, those are US Dollars and yes, that does say ten thousand. As they state on their website “which, unfortunately, means they will not be for everyone”, it looks like I’m out of the running of owning a sweet shiny pair of these skates and further begs the question of who would spend that kind of money to purchase these. You could feed starving people over and over for that kind of money.
