The last-mile delivery company Cartken Inc. announced Friday the arrival of Cartken Hauler, describing it as
“a robust, highly capable robot that has increased payload capacity.”
The Oakland, Calif.-based startup built the system to automate handling of goods in mixed outdoor/indoor situations for manufacturing plants, factories, distribution centers, corporate educational institutions, and life sciences areas.
“Today’s intralogistics operations demand material handling solutions that can adapt seamlessly across environments. Cartken Hauler does exactly that,”
Christian Bersch, co-founder and CEO of Cartken, stated that
“We are building on our autonomous robot technology and AI models trained on hundreds of thousands of last-mile delivery miles.”
Cartken claimed that with this launch, its emphasis is expanding beyond last-mile delivery. Seamless transporting materials across complicated, mixed environments, various levels, and diverse surfaces is a significant gap in industrial and worksite logistics automation, according to the business.
Cartken created its hauler to handle anything from inventories and tests to equipment and paperwork, catering to sectors that require dynamic, effective material movement. It combines ruggedized all-terrain capabilities with sophisticated AI-powered, camera-based automation to guarantee dependable operation in challenging conditions while properly maneuvering near humans. Cartken was founded in 2019 and emerged from covert operations in March 2021 after announcing a delivery agreement with REEF Technology in the center of Miami. The business has so far focused on using robotic sidewalk robots to distribute food.
