Elden Ring Unveils Dual New Classes in Switch 2 Edition

Elden Ring Tarnished Edition Unveiled for Nintendo Switch 2 with Dual New Classes

Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition, designed especially for the Nintendo Switch 2, will soon be available, according to an official announcement from FromSoftware. With its extensive cross-platform compatibility, optimized performance, and substantial additional content, this improved version of the highly regarded game positions itself as a major release in the 2025 gaming environment. Thankfully, this content will not be limited to the Switch 2 edition. According to the rumour, a Tarnished Pack DLC will be released on the PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. FromSoftware has not yet confirmed the price, but it is expected to cost between $10 and $20. Additionally, it will be released in a short, staggered window or simultaneously on all platforms.

Developer FromSoftware initially disclosed this next version of the game last month when they said Elden Ring would be available on the Switch 2. While this edition was revealed for the Switch 2, FromSoftware indicated that the extra material would also be accessible on other platforms, such as DLC. At this time, the team stated that Elden Ring players would have access to new armour, a new Torrent look customization option, and "more."

New Courses and Materials

Players now have more options for gaming thanks to the addition of two new character classes in this edition. It also adds three new looks and four new armour sets for the player's ride, Torrent, which improves both fighting tactics and visual personalization. With these additions, the player's experience in the Lands Between will be enhanced.

Improved Nintendo Switch 2 Gameplay

Cross-Platform Growth with DLC

FromSoftware has announced that all new content, including the planned Shadow of the Erdtree addition, will be made accessible as downloadable content for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC, even though the Tarnished Edition is only available on the Switch 2. This guarantees that the most recent content changes will also benefit the larger Elden Ring player base.

Overall Release Update

The journal claims that in addition to these new classes, the Elden Ring: Tarnished Edition will contain four new kinds of armour, weapons, and fighting methods, as well as three new looks for Torrent. Users are waiting for a release date for this edition of Elden Ring to be available to us. However, Elden Ring Nightreign, a co-op spin-off, will launch later this month. On May 30, Nightreign will be available on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, and PS5. Elden Ring Nightreign's PC requirements are available here.

Additionally, the studio is working on a brand-new film called The Duskbloods. The Duskbloods is a PvPvE game with online multiplayer that was revealed during Nintendo's Switch 2 Direct. According to reporter Matt, it resembled

"Bloodborne meets Sekiro meets Dark Souls, with jetpacks and dinosaurs thrown in."

FromSoftware revealed last week that since its release three years ago, Elden Ring has distributed more than 30 million copies globally.
