Top Retailers to Purchase Nintendo Switch 2 Microsd Express Cards

Where to Buy Nintendo Switch 2 MicroSD Express Cards

The Nintendo Switch 2 is almost here. Nintendo will begin taking pre-orders on April 24, and the device will ship on June 5.

In addition to the system itself, there are games and accessories to consider. Since the Nintendo Switch 2 is only compatible with microSD Express cards, and expands the 256GB of built-in storage on your handheld device in order to store more installed games.

The most recent microSD Express cards have been chosen as the required medium for the Switch 2 since they are faster at transferring and reading information than the microSD cards that came with the original Nintendo Switch. MicroSD Express cards are unfortunately, somewhat expensive; the higher 1TB and 2TB versions can run into the hundreds of dollars.

Verify the microSD card's symbol to be sure you're purchasing the right one. For it to work with the Switch 2, it needs to have the "EX" symbol as seen in the image below.

If you want all of your games to be transferred and preinstalled for on-the-go gaming, the Nintendo Switch 2 will accept microSD Express cards up to 2TB in capacity, which is probably more than enough to hold a lot of titles.

For the Nintendo Switch 2, authorised microSD Express cards with the Mario "M" or other Nintendo emblem will be available, same as those for the original Switch. When these microSD Express cards are released on June 5, 2025, they will be sold straight from the Nintendo store. These licensed versions of the manufacturer's microSD Express 256GB cards do not currently have prices mentioned.

MicroSD Express card inventory has been soaring, and certain capacities are momentarily sold out. As new microSD Express items and shop connections become available, this area will be updated often.
