Can Verizon’s Best Unlimited Plan Be A Little More Limitless? Maybe Yes

Verizon’s Best Unlimited Plan Gets Major Upgrades in 2025

Unlimited plans are never unlimited. They are limited to some extent, and everyone knows this unspoken rule. However, Verizon’s ultimate unlimited plan is about to reshape these molds. Even though there will be some restrictions on hotspot usage and international features.

Besides, on-device data is uncapped and unthrottled under Verizon's ultimate unlimited plan. But people exceeding the 1 TB data have consistently reported receiving warnings for the possibility of plan cancellation on Version, raising red flags while being unlimited.

Hotspot Just Got Hotter

  • At the moment, the unlimited plan comes with 60 GB of high-speed mobile hotspot per month, but the speed is considerably reduced after the limit is reached.
  • According to the leaked Verizon email, the new “unlimited” plan is rumored to come with capped data of 200 GB of hotspot data per month.

Improved International Access

  • Right now, the plan only includes international texting from the U.S. Based on the report, the upgrade will now include international calling from the U.S, which was previously available only via add-ons.
  • Users have mentioned receiving text from Verizon that the international mobile data will get a jump from 10 to 15 GB. Probably a piece of good news for travellers.

Price Lock, Perks, And More

At the beginning of this month, Verizon introduced 3 3-year price lock on all plans for long-term price stability. New perks include:

  • Satellite texting is available on supported devices.
  • $20/month for five major streaming services.
  • Free-of-cost phone trade-in option

Regardless of these refinements, Verizon specifies that perks, taxes, and fees may still change, meaning that the hidden fee may rise.

Verizon has also confirmed that new benefits will be available to both new and existing users. Long-term users won’t get any loyalty penalties. This move is going to make things fairer and set a strong example for better industry practices.
