As Elon Musk stepped deeper into Donald J. In Trump’s world, last yea,r joining campaign rallies and donating around $275 million to support his presidential run, a completely different story was unfolding behind the scenes. According to those close to him, Musk was caught in a storm of intense drug use, erratic behavior, and family conflicts that most of the world never saw.

A Hidden Drug Habit

Musk’s drug use wasn’t just casual, it was extreme. He reportedly told people he was using so much ketamine (a powerful anesthetic) that it was damaging his bladder. That’s a known risk when ketamine is taken frequently. But that wasn’t all Musk also used Ecstasy and psychedelic mushrooms. People close to him say he always traveled with a daily pill box containing about 20 pills, including some marked like Adderall, a stimulant.

Despite his public claim “I really don’t like doing illegal drugs”  this wasn’t occasional use. Musk once said he only took ketamine “about once every two weeks” for depression, but insiders say he was mixing ketamine with other drugs, even daily at times. His drug use blurred the lines between medical treatment and recreational escape. He also plays video games for hours, takes weight-loss medication, and often posts nonstop on his platform X, showing signs of possible hyperactivity and insomnia.

Strange Behavior in the Public Eye

While working closely with Trump, even gaining power in the White House to cut government bureaucracy, Musk started showing bizarre behavior. According to reports, he insulted cabinet members, made Nazi-like gestures, and struggled to speak clearly during a scripted interview. Still, when asked about it, Trump defended him, saying: “I’m not troubled by anything with Elon. I think he’s fantastic.”

Family Drama and Legal Battles

While all this was happening, Musk’s family life was falling apart. He’s juggling relationships with multiple women and has been involved in legal fights over custody of his many children. His former partner Claire Boucher, better known as Grimes, is especially concerned about their son “X.” Musk takes the boy to high-profile events, including the Oval Office, even though both parents had agreed to keep the child out of the spotlight. Grimes believes frequent travel and sleep deprivation could be affecting the boy’s health and safety.

In another twist, conservative writer Ashley St. Clair revealed in February that she had a secret child with Musk, his 14th known child. Musk offered her a large settlement to keep quiet, but she refused. He then allegedly sought a gag order in New York to silence her.

Trouble at Tesla and SpaceX

Musk’s company, SpaceX, is a major U.S. government contractor, meaning it must follow strict rules about drug-free work environments. Employees are subject to random drug tests but Musk reportedly receives advance warnings. At Tesla, some board members have privately worried about his use of substances like Ambien, a sleep aid. With federal investigations targeting Tesla for self-driving crashes and racism allegations, Musk saw himself as a target. In a private message, he wrote:

“The Biden administration views me as the #2 threat after Trump.”

He added:

“I can’t be president, but I can help Trump defeat Biden and I will.”

And in July, he did just that, publicly endorsing Trump.
