PayPal Showcases Versatile Checkout Solutions in New Campaign with Will Ferrell

Will Ferrell Reunites with PayPal to Showcase New Checkout Flexibility

Today, PayPal said that a follow-up to its 2024 Will Ferrell commercial about using PayPal "everywhere" will be released. As he demonstrates all the ways customers may use PayPal to make payments, the renowned comedian returns to the brand and performs a rendition of Fleetwood Mac's historic hit song, "Go Your Own Way," to test his vocals once more. Along with the rewritten lyrics of the classic song, the new commercial makes its national debut during Saturday's basketball finals. Ferrell's sense of humor highlights PayPal's versatility at checkout, allowing customers to pay with a checking account, PayPal balance, debit card, credit card, or PayPal Buy Now Pay Later.

Geoff Seeley stated that

"We're thrilled to pick up where we left off with Will, taking customers on another playful journey that shows them the choice and flexibility they have when using PayPal Checkout. We're at a transformative moment for the brand and we're leaning into levity and humor to keep PayPal top of mind for the many times a day shoppers are making checkout choices."

In addition to the advertisement, PayPal is launching a comprehensive marketing campaign that will reach customers through a variety of touchpoints to expand their perspective on their payment options. This effort will span out-of-home, digital, viewing and radio, podcast reads, influencing factor, and social media.
