After Trump imposed hefty tariffs on tech industry and then put a temporary pause, the tech industry has escalated its effort to appease the US president. In this regard, the 2025 White House Easter Egg Roll event is being partnered with Meta, YouTube, Amazon and other big tech companies.

On Monday President Donals Trump and the first lady Melania Trump will host the traditional annual Easter event at the South Lawn. On Friday the list of event’s partnerships was disclosed, highlighting Big Tech names. In the annual event, Meta will provide an ‘AI-Powered Experience and Photo Opportunity’, meanwhile, Amazon will provide a reading nook and a ‘Family Photo Opportunity Celebrating Reading’. Jumping on the bandwagon, the New York Stock Exchange will also provide a ‘Ringing of the Bell Photo Opportunity’. While Meta, Amazon, and the New York Stock Exchange refrained from commenting, a spokesperson from YouTube stated

“Our goal is to provide an opportunity for kids to meet their favorite creators, and we look forward to having a presence once again this year,”

Branding and Sponsorship

The event is being organized by the Harbinger and the outlet revealed that the event offers $75,000 to $200,000 logo and brand opportunities. The company found sponsors for the event which were previously tightly controlled. Notably, the branding opportunities are a new territory for the Oval Office. Commenting on sponsorship and new branding opportunities, the executive director of Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington, Donald Sherman stated

“I understand that there are corporate sponsors for the Easter Egg Roll,What I have not seen before is sort of the outright solicitation and the use of the imprimatur of the White House to give corporate sponsorship.”
